Daily Skincare Routine.....

I’m a big fan of taking care of my skin. Your skin is probably as individual as you are, and it definitely takes time to understand what it needs. I have been giving my skin the extra care it needs. Healthy skin is the canvas for beautiful makeup.

My skin has been on a journey over the past few years. I have a combination skin.

I get patches of dryness but the t-zone is forever shiny and spot-prone but also dehydrated and often prone to dullness. One of my key learnings over the years is that no matter what your skin type is, you can suffer from dehydration, and that actually applies to other concerns. As well as addressing whether you're oily, dry, normal or anything else, it's important to consider other factors, such as if your skin is sensitive or dehydrated or mature or dull, because there's often more than one thing going on!

Now lets talk about my skincare routine. And the key word here is routine.

I’ve been using four types of skincare products and so far I’ve no problems with them.

In the morning I usually don’t do too much, now and then I use my Kruidvat Originals Crème mask with Shea butter in it. But the most important thing is I use the Millerson Cosmetics Skin Balancing Toner and than my Kruidvat Originals Aloe Day crème and sometimes my Tarte Cosmetics undereye patches. “You know to cover up my sleepless nights, LOL.”

During the day I make sure to drink water, it’s the best thing to do especially when you live in a country where it is always sunny and I also use the Mario Badescu facial spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater, its super soothing and refreshing. In the evening or after removing my makeup, I've been using the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Wipes, following by the Millerson Cosmetics Balancing Face Wash. What I really like about this is that it isn't a foaming product, it just has a nice gel texture that leaves my skin clean and clear without stripping it, or sucking it dry of moisture. After the face wash I put on my Kruidvat Originals Night crème. I go to bed looking very shiny and wake up with skin that feels very happy indeed.

My skin isn’t perfect, but it’s the best it’s ever been, so I couldn’t be happier about that. Stick to a routine and make minor adjustments along the way are the way to go.

Wash your face before bed and in the mornings, make time to pamper your skin, and give it the best of what you can.
